What “Archive” means
Archive winders are ex-display units from our showroom and trade events, briefly-owned units that have been certified to factory spec, or complete pieces from past collections that are no longer produced.
These are not new. Every Archive unit passes the same inspection and bench test as new Orbita production before it ships, but may show slight cosmetic wear on the case — light scuffs, handling marks, or minor surface blemishes consistent with display or return use. Mechanical performance is identical to new. Sold as-is.
- Inspected & tested at the Orbita facility in Wilmington, North Carolina
- Full two-year warranty — identical coverage to new
- Thirty-day return window — risk-free trial
- One unit available — Archive inventory does not replenish
Description
Outlet — Certified Pre-Owned / Lightly Refurbished
This unit is an ex-display or briefly-owned winder. It has been fully inspected, tested, and certified by Orbita. May show slight cosmetic wear on the case — mechanically 100%, backed by our full standard warranty. Sold as-is, no additional returns.
The Sparta Deluxe adds figured hardwood veneers and a beveled glass top to Orbita's flagship single winder. It is designed for the collector who wants the precision of the original Sparta in a case suited to a library shelf or formal study.
Each Deluxe is finished with a piano-lacquer surface and fitted with the patented Rotorwind movement at 800–1,300 TPD — clockwise, counter-clockwise, or auto-reversing — with an 8 or 12-hour cycle toggle. Powered by lithium batteries; no AC adapter required. Available in teak, burl, and ebony.
