Description
Outlet — Certified Pre-Owned / Lightly Refurbished
This unit is an ex-display or briefly-owned winder. It has been fully inspected, tested, and certified by Orbita. May show slight cosmetic wear on the case — mechanically 100%, backed by our full standard warranty. Sold as-is, no additional returns.
The Futura pairs Orbita's two-preset HI/LO movement with a contemporary lacquered shell. Designed for modern interiors, the case reads as a sculptural object rather than a traditional wood box.
Available in one and three-watch configurations, the Futura runs at LO 800 TPD or HI 1,300 TPD, clockwise direction only (no counter-clockwise, no auto-reverse). AC operation, and the matte exterior resists fingerprints.

The Rotorwind Movement
Every Orbita winder runs on the patented Rotorwind movement — a motor and gearbox that accelerate a weighted cup to a defined speed, then release it to freewheel and swing under gravity, reproducing the natural arc of a watch on the wrist.
In continuous production since 1996 and used under private label by several of the world's leading watch manufacturers.
- Motion — On-demand oscillation, not continuous rotation
- Drive — Motor and gearbox; weighted cup freewheels after each drive cycle
- Battery life — Up to five years on lithium cells (battery-powered models)
- Operation — Whisper-quiet, inaudible from across a room
- Over-winding — Eliminated by design

Why Automatic Watches Need a Winder
Mechanical automatic watches rely on natural wrist motion to stay wound. When worn daily, the movement of the wearer keeps the mainspring energized and the watch running with precision.
When left unworn, most automatic watches stop within 48 hours—requiring manual resetting of time, date, and complications.
A watch winder ensures each timepiece remains fully wound and ready to wear.
Winding That Mimics the Human Wrist
Orbita’s patented Rotorwind technology replicates natural wrist motion through intermittent rotation cycles and rest periods.
This reduces wear, prevents strain, and maintains optimal winding efficiency.
Precision Control for Every Timepiece
Orbita winders use a microprocessor-controlled system with adjustable turns per day (TPD) settings.
This ensures accurate winding while protecting the watch from unnecessary motion.
Engineered for Silence. Built to Endure.
Every Orbita winder is designed to operate with absolute discretion — preserving both the integrity of your timepiece and the quiet of its surroundings.
Virtually Silent Operation
Designed to run without disruption — in a bedroom, office, or private space.
Secure Watch Mounting
Holds each timepiece firmly in place with no risk of slippage.
No Metal-to-Metal Contact
Protects delicate components from unnecessary wear.
